Do you want to buy a Bathroom Heater?

Bathroom heaters are a great way to ensure your bathroom is at a comfortable temperature year-round and make getting out of a hot bath or shower a little easier on a cold day. Bathroom fan heaters and radiant heaters are an effective way of warming the room to a comfortable level. Thanks to modern heating technology, it is no longer an expensive luxury and there are high-quality heating options available for large, small, and medium-sized bathrooms, and for every budget.

What to look for in a bathroom heater

The three main functions of Bathroom Heater is to heat the body or the room, secondly to extract excess steam and odour and thirdly provide the light you need for the enviroment.

Fan Heater vs Infrared Heat

Infrared heat has been the way to go for many years. They effectively heat the surface of the skin taking the sting out of being in a cold bathroom. They don't however heat the air which is where the the Fan Heater comes into it's own. Not only does a fan heater heat the body, but it also raises the air temperature in the room decreasing steam levels and improvement comfort.

How much extraction do I need?

The typical modern bathroom designs requires more extraction power than ever before. Aspects such as showers without doors add up to 80% more steam being circulated throughout a Bathroom as there is no screen to block the travel of steam. Add to that mix floor to ceiling ceramic tiles, large shower heads and it's a recipe for lots of steam.

How does ducting impact an Exhaust Fan system?

Due to upgrades in the National Construction Code and the energy efficiency of homes, it is now necessary in many case to extract air via ductwork to the outside environment. This ducting places pressure and restriction on an exhaust fan system so you need to choose an exhaust fan that maintains airflow under pressure. Be sure to select an exhaust fan that provides performance data (a pressure curve) over a prescribed length of duct. Most exhaust fans will claim a high airflow but many fail when ducting is applied. At Lights Fans Action we can provide you with the solutions that will do the job.

Exhaust fans

Installing a 3-in-1 exhaust, light and thermal ventilation system is the most popular option in bathroom heating since all functions are integrated into one unit. This will draw in the moist air in the room and provide warmth to warm the bathroom as well as light up. We have a wide range of models designed to meet the needs of small and large bathrooms.
